The idea
Why a memecoin, of all things?
Because shelters are terrible at going viral, and memes are terrible at doing nothing. Catecoin puts one inside the other.
Plenty of coins borrow a shelter. This one works for one.
Charity is the easiest thing in crypto to put on a website and the hardest to actually do. A new cat coin launches every day, adopts a rescue as its story, and never sends a single yen anywhere. Catecoin sits inside ちばわん’s donation operation instead: the fees reach the people who run the adoption events, and every transfer is published with its receipt. That is the whole difference, and it is the only one that matters.
Small change, big litters
A 50-cent donation dies on card rails, because the fee eats it. On Solana, value moves for a fraction of a cent, so charity finally works at meme scale.

The Japanese non-profit Catecoin exists for: finding families for rescued dogs and cats, so that no animal runs out of time in a shelter.
It began in 2001 with a single hoarding case in Chiba prefecture. Four people showed up. The following year they made it official, and Chibawan has been running ever since, pulling dogs and cats out of the Chiba Animal Welfare Center, fostering them in real homes, and handing them to families at weekend adoption events.
Today the work spans Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Nagano: adoption meets, foster volunteers, transport runs, TNR for street cats, spay/neuter advocacy and guidance for first-time owners. Every yen is reported publicly.

What makes Catecoin the official token?
CATE is the charity token built around ちばわん and already active inside their donation ecosystem. It exists to fund their rescue work and nothing else. Chibawan itself stays what it has always been: an independent Japanese non-profit. It does not issue, hold or manage the token; it receives the donations.
How do I know the donations are real?
Every donation is announced on X before and after it is sent, with the Solana transaction hash and the receipt. The charity wallet is public, so you can watch it in a block explorer at any time.
Is there a team allocation?
No. The supply went to the open market. There is no team bag, no presale and no vesting schedule pointed at your exit liquidity.
What is a bundler, and why does it matter?
A bundler buys a large share of the supply across many wallets in the very first block, so one person looks like a crowd and can dump on everyone later. Catecoin launched without one, and the early blocks are there for anyone to check.
Can I just donate directly instead?
Yes, and please do. Chibawan accepts direct donations on their own site, and they always need foster homes and volunteers more than they need coins. Buying CATE is one more door into the same room.
