Memes travel further than flyers
A joke crosses the planet in a day. A rescue flyer rarely leaves the neighbourhood. Catecoin wraps a shelter’s mission in something people actually want to share.
Catecoin is the official charity token of ちばわん (Chibawan), the Japanese rescue group that has been pulling dogs and cats out of shelters since 2001. A memecoin on Solana with an actual job: turning internet fun into food, vet care and forever homes.

The idea
Because shelters are terrible at going viral, and memes are terrible at doing nothing. Catecoin puts one inside the other.
Charity is the easiest thing in crypto to put on a website and the hardest to actually do. A new cat coin launches every day, adopts a rescue as its story, and never sends a single yen anywhere. Catecoin sits inside ちばわん’s donation operation instead: the fees reach the people who run the adoption events, and every transfer is published with its receipt. That is the whole difference, and it is the only one that matters.
A joke crosses the planet in a day. A rescue flyer rarely leaves the neighbourhood. Catecoin wraps a shelter’s mission in something people actually want to share.
A 50-cent donation dies on card rails, because the fee eats it. On Solana, value moves for a fraction of a cent, so charity finally works at meme scale.
Coins come and go. The ~230 volunteers behind Chibawan have shown up every weekend for two decades. We are just the loud part of the room.
Chibawan publishes medical spending and financial reports. Solana publishes every transfer. Both halves of the story are auditable by anyone.
The cause
The Japanese non-profit Catecoin exists for: finding families for rescued dogs and cats, so that no animal runs out of time in a shelter.
It began in 2001 with a single hoarding case in Chiba prefecture. Four people showed up. The following year they made it official, and Chibawan has been running ever since, pulling dogs and cats out of the Chiba Animal Welfare Center, fostering them in real homes, and handing them to families at weekend adoption events.
Today the work spans Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Nagano: adoption meets, foster volunteers, transport runs, TNR for street cats, spay/neuter advocacy and guidance for first-time owners. Every yen is reported publicly.
Catecoin is the official charity token of ちばわん (犬猫保護). Chibawan is an independent Japanese non-profit. It runs the rescue work, and CATE funds it. The token itself is community-run and carries no claim on the organisation.
How it works
Four steps, no middlemen, nothing you cannot verify on-chain.
Buy, sell, hold, meme. Normal Solana activity, with no lockups and no staking maze.
pump.fun pays a creator fee on trading volume. All of it lands in a public charity wallet, and anyone can watch the balance grow.
The wallet is converted and sent to Chibawan, with the transaction and receipt posted on X.
Food, vaccines, spay/neuter, transport, then a weekend adoption event, and a family.
Every donation is announced publicly before and after it is sent.
Tokenomics
No team bag waiting to fall on you. No private round. No bundled wallets pretending to be a crowd. The chart belongs to whoever showed up.
Fully distributed on the open market
No team, no advisors, no private sale
No sniper bundle at launch
The whole pump.fun creator reward stream goes to Chibawan
Fixed at launch, mint authority revoked
Bonding curve, LP burned on migration, freeze revoked
Always confirm the mint address on the official X account before buying anything.
Cat maker
Pick a coat, an expression, a hat, some questionable eyewear. Roll the dice until something makes you laugh, then take it with you as a profile picture.
Your cat: 0-0-1-0-0-1-0-0
Every cat gets a link. Send it to someone and they open the maker wearing yours.
Minigame
Kittens are hiding in the boxes. When ears pop up, tap fast. Chain rescues for a combo, miss one and it slips away.
Kittens you have rescued in total: 0
Roadmap
Fair launch, liquidity burned, authorities revoked, first hundred holders, site and game live.
First donation to Chibawan sent and receipted. Now: a steady rhythm of them, listings, and a donation counter on this page.
Translated outreach, collaborations with other rescue communities, adoption-event sponsorships.
Recurring monthly donations funded by fees, and a lot fewer animals waiting in a cage.
FAQ
CATE is the charity token built around ちばわん and already active inside their donation ecosystem. It exists to fund their rescue work and nothing else. Chibawan itself stays what it has always been: an independent Japanese non-profit. It does not issue, hold or manage the token; it receives the donations.
Every donation is announced on X before and after it is sent, with the Solana transaction hash and the receipt. The charity wallet is public, so you can watch it in a block explorer at any time.
No. The supply went to the open market. There is no team bag, no presale and no vesting schedule pointed at your exit liquidity.
A bundler buys a large share of the supply across many wallets in the very first block, so one person looks like a crowd and can dump on everyone later. Catecoin launched without one, and the early blocks are there for anyone to check.
Yes, and please do. Chibawan accepts direct donations on their own site, and they always need foster homes and volunteers more than they need coins. Buying CATE is one more door into the same room.

Follow the coin, follow the shelter, and if you can, foster, adopt or donate directly.
